Practical arrangement

Το αγαπημένο μου μποτ μου πέταξε αυτό καθώς έπλενα πιάτα και ψάρωσα αρκετά:

Στην αρχή νόμιζα ότι θα'ταν διασκευή από κάποιο παλιό τζαζ στάνταρτ, κάτι Σινατροειδές, μη σου πω νόμιζα ότι είναι Bacharach. Αντί για βόλτα το χινόπωρο στο Σέντραλ Παρκ όμως Θανάση μου μας προέκυψε Στινγκ και μιούζικαλ για τα ναυπηγεία του Νιουκάστλ! Ψαροτίκ, να και το οριτζινάλε από τον δίσκο του 2013 σε λάιβ εκτέλεση ντουέτο:

Θανάση σου'χω πει ότι τον τελευταίο χρόνο έχω φάει κόλλημα με ό,τι κάνει ο κύριος Mark Kozelek; Έχουν κάτι το εκπληκτικά πεζό, τετριμμένο και "αντιμουσικό" τα τραγούδια του (ιδίως οι στίχοι) κι όμως κάπως σε τουμπάρουν και σε κερδίζουν. 1η Νοέμβρη βγήκε το νέο δισκάκι των Sun Kil Moon (για το όνομα δες εδώ) που έχει την κομματάρα "This is not possible":

Εδώ η ιστορία του τραγουδιού:

"The song “This is Not Possible” was written in November 2017, in hotel room outside of Frankfurt that was set in nature with a lot of horses and farm animals around. While preparing for the that November tour and politely asking a German promoter — more than a few times — to help accommodate some rehearsal time for my band (it was our first show of the tour and we were flying in from various cities in the USA) he kept replying with the same response: “This is not possible.” In my opinion, Germany has never had the best bedside manner when it comes to artist hospitality (which doesn’t bother me much) but this particular interaction tickled me so much that I had more fun cancelling the show in Frankfurt than I would have playing it. We performed the song a few nights later in Berlin – my favorite German city – and the crowd loved it."

Τι ειρωνεία, μόλις άκουσα το κομμάτι και έψαξα αν έρχονται για λάιβ από τα μέρη μας. Πριν τρεις μέρες έπαιξαν πάλι στο Βερολίνο :-).
