 Plaid‘s 11th album is one of the long-running duo’s most conceptually driven releases. The premise is that the act performed a set at the Feorm Festival on a distant planet called Falorx, and they were converted into light in order to survive the planet’s atmosphere. New Age Doom / Lee "Scratch" Perry’s Guide to the Universe

 New Age Doom follows up its critically acclaimed 2020 drone metal opus Himalayan Dream Techno with a serendipitous LP featuring the dub legend Lee "Scratch" Perry as lead vocalist.

Throwing Snow / Dragons

 Throwing Snow’s fourth album is the audiovisually-augmented Dragons, a work that occupies the space between science and ancestral wisdom. It links music back to its prehistoric capacity for transmitting knowledge to new technology that can untangle the complexity of the contemporary world. Dragons’ ten tracks of heavy primal rhythmic productions incorporate the physicality of acoustic sources, from ancient ritual instruments to modern drum kit, and each track is accompanied by visuals generated by a neural network.

Throwing Snow, aka Ross Tones developed Dragons’ neural network with artist, designer and technologist Matt Woodham. The structures and changes in Tones’ music trigger corresponding changes in accompanying moving images, which combine life in three scales, from microscopic views of rocks to large scale maps. “Everything that happens musically triggers the algorithm to do something,” Tones explains. “This isn’t controlled or predictable, and the music becomes an instruction for the algorithm to make its own decisions about datasets, images, speed, movement and other manipulations.”

Μaster harpist Maria-Christina Harper and lute player Υiagos Hairetis create an original duo that combines the contemporary music scene of London with the musical tradition of Crete. "Draft" is the debut album of the Hairetis Harper project. 

The album was written a year after their initial musical acquaintance when their improvisations took the form of complete tracks. The album was recorded at Suono Studio by Coti K. who also did the mastering and at the Music Art Lab by Nikos Asimakis. 

In the seven tracks of the album, the two musicians combine masterfully the sounds of the two instruments and their musical influences, approaching the Cretan tradition in many ways and creating their own distinct sound.
