Chicano Batman / Invisible People

For the album, Chicano Batman worked with Shawn Everett, the GRAMMY-award winning mixing engineer known for his work with Alabama Shakes, War on Drugs and Julian Casablancas. With Leon Michels’ producing and Everett’s mixing steering the record’s direction, the band’s lush Tropicalia-tinged sound has transformed into their most polished and densely layered. Invisible People is an illuminating and encapsulating sonic landscape, one that hasn’t lost the essence that put Chicano Batman on the map.

The album came about in part when the band was snowed in for 72 hours at a ranch by the Skykomish River in Washington and gathered lots of ideas. However, the origin of the album isn’t the only interesting thing about it. Each of the eight members of the band wrote a song that paints a picture of the titular Man from the Future. (full review)

Various / Virus Positions (A Quarantine Music Collection)

"Μας λείπουν τα δισκοπωλεία, τα παζάρια δίσκων, τα φεστιβάλ και οι συναυλίες και ανυπομονούμε να επιστρέψουμε στην κανονικότητα. Όμως η μουσική εξακολουθεί να μας ενώνει έστω και στις κατ΄ ιδίαν ακροάσεις στο σπίτι. H συλλογή “Virus Positions” προορίζεται για αυτές τις ακροάσεις, όμως δεν έχει αντλήσει έμπνευση από την καραντίνα, αλλά αγκαλιάζει την πολυποικιλότητα της μουσικής και τα 14 κομμάτια της αγγίζουν πολλά και διαφορετικά θέματα. Ευχαριστούμε όλους τους καλλιτέχνες που μας παραχώρησαν τα κομμάτια τους έτσι ώστε με τη σειρά μας να τα μοιραστούμε μαζί σας. Μπορείτε να κατεβάσετε τη συλλογή δωρεάν στη σελίδα μας στο Bandcamp, επίσης είναι διαθέσιμη και σε όλες τις ψηφιακές πλατφόρμες streaming."
